Tesla is set to unveil its much-anticipated Model Q in June 2025, marking a significant step towards introducing a more affordable electric vehicle.
Recently spotted at Giga Texas, this compact SUV is expected to be around 15% smaller and up to 30% lighter than the Model 3, with a design aimed at cost efficiency and minimalism.
Tesla’s CFO confirmed during the Q4 earnings call that production of the Model Q is on track, surprising many as the company had just launched the upgraded Model Y.
This new model aims to capture the growing market for budget-friendly EVs, potentially priced under $30,000 for the base version.
While details remain scarce, reports suggest the Model Q will feature lithium iron phosphate batteries, with two variants offering ranges up to 310 miles. As Tesla faces increasing competition, the timely launch of the Model Q could redefine its market presence and attract a broader customer base, solidifying its position as a leader in the EV industry.
