Many people dream that one day they will have their own home.

They want to plan everything on their own. It is desirable that this house is spacious, and if there is also a garden, it is literally the fulfillment of all cherished desires.

However, houses are expensive. Not everyone can afford such luxury.

A simple farmer, who recently turned twenty-three years old, did not want to build a career like all his peers. He dreamed of having his own house, so he decided to build it himself.

 

Dane says that paying the mortgage would have taken many years, because his income is not very high. The guy has never had the desire to take debts. And to buy a house without loans, he could not, too, would have to save up almost to old age.

That’s how it turned out that Dane decided to build a house on his own. He had never done anything like this before, so he asked his father – a professional carpenter – for help. The father gave all possible support to his son, and he decided to undertake this event.

Apart from his father, the boy was helped by his mates. Had it not been for them, the construction would have taken much longer. Dane’s budget was very small, so he had to take discounted materials.

  

The windows were only thirty dollars, and the furnace was given to him for free. The construction took about a year. The result was a very nice, though small, house with everything necessary for living.

To live in a house like this, you don’t have to spend a lot of money. The house is heated by a cooker, and Dane cooks on a gas cooker. Electricity he did not conduct, using instead a lamp on petrol. The only thing that connects the guy with civilisation is his mobile phone, which is connected to the Internet.

Dane has set up his own vegetable garden, on which he grows various vegetables and fruits. This small piece of land was given to him by a neighbour. In the future, the guy plans to start raising chickens.

– I have always loved peace. I can’t imagine how people live in noisy cities. Such a wilderness suits me completely. My parents did not understand my choice, but then they visited me several times and calmed down. They are happy that I am happy. That’s the most important thing to them. They don’t judge me for my choice.

The atmosphere in Dane’s new home is very modest, but the guy is provided with everything he needs to lead a normal life. He doesn’t need anything and is completely happy with everything.

– My friends think I’m crazy for living like this. They can’t see life without lights and TV. But I’m never bored, I have a lot to do without those things. I’ll never understand people who don’t know how to entertain themselves.

Dane has already made friends with many local farmers, he spends a lot of time with his new friends.

He doesn’t have a girlfriend yet. The guy understands very well that many people may simply refuse to live in such conditions. If there is such a need, he plans to build a bigger house. About buying ready-made housing is out of the question, because it is still too expensive for Dane. Even on a conservative estimate, it would take more than a hundred and eighty thousand dollars for a small cottage. What was the point of spending that kind of money? The boy’s opinion on the matter had not changed.

A small house in the middle of nowhere turned out to be very unusual. But can one condemn a guy who is completely satisfied with such a life? The most important thing is that the occupant himself was comfortable. And the opinions of others do not matter.
