Tech billionaire Elon Musk on the evening of July 12 ( US time ) publicly criticized President Donald Trump when he spoke out to defend Attorney General Pam Bondi – who was questioned about the handling of the case related to “pedophile kingpin” Jeffrey Epstein.

In a late post on social network X, Musk responded to a screenshot of Mr. Trump’s statement on Truth Social, along with a comment from a user who said it was “the worst status of all time.”

“He did,” Musk agreed. “He mentioned Epstein half a dozen times and then told people not to talk about Epstein. Release the records as promised.”

Minutes later, Musk responded to Trump’s comments about Epstein being his “Achilles heel.” “This is serious,” he said. “If thousands of children are being abused, the government has video of the perpetrators, and no one is being prosecuted, what kind of a system are we living in!?”

Trump had previously defended Bondi on Truth Social after the Justice Department released a memo concluding that Epstein did not keep a “client list” for blackmail and that there was no evidence of murder in his 2019 death, which was ruled a suicide. Bondi had hinted that he had the list, angering some in the MAGA movement.

In the lengthy post, Mr. Trump asserted: “Let Pam Bondi do the job. She is fantastic!” He also described his administration as “perfect” and said that the opposition was using the Epstein case to cause internal division within MAGA.

“It’s been Epstein, over and over again for years. Why are we promoting documents created by Obama, Hillary, Comey, Brennan and the failed, criminal Biden Administration?” Trump wrote.

He also accused his opponents of “fabricating” the Epstein document in the same way they “fabricated the Steele dossier” on alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.

“If there was something really harmful to the MAGA movement, why didn’t they release it? They haven’t given up on the JFK or Martin Luther King files,” he questioned.
