The racing community and her many fans were deeply moved by the announcement, reflecting on the courage and transparency Lizzy showed throughout her illness.
In 2023, Lizzy revealed on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with triple-negative stage IV breast cancer, one of the most aggressive forms of the disease. By the time her cancer was discovered, it had already metastasized to her liver and lymph nodes, making her fight even more challenging.

Despite the grim diagnosis, Lizzy faced her battle with an incredible amount of strength and resilience. She shared her journey with her followers, offering a raw and honest glimpse into the highs and lows of her treatments. Her openness about her illness was a testament to her determination, as she sought out various treatments, including a specialized liver-targeted therapy she underwent in Germany.

Lizzy was not just a television personality — she was a champion racer, with multiple Pro Street World Championships to her name.

Beyond her racing achievements, Lizzy was admired for her authenticity and tenacity. She was more than just a competitor; she was a role model and an inspiration to many.

Her ability to maintain grace and perseverance in the face of adversity was remarkable. Even as she fought cancer, she continued to motivate others with her honesty and spirit.
