Chrissy Teigen fires back at trolls who say no-pants outfit was ‘the worst’ for Olympics

Chrissy Teigen responded to trolls who put her on blast for wearing a no-pants outfit to a recent Olympics ceremony.

After an Instagram user said her trendy attire was “the worst outfit for that kind of event,” the 38-year-old model clapped back with a subtle but brilliant reply.

Fashion at high-profile events like the Olympics can be polarizing, with some people loving the bold and unconventional choices, while others prefer more traditional attire.

Opting for bold over traditional, Chrissy Teigen, the mother of four, wasn’t wearing mommy jeans.

The stunning woman appeared at an event for the 2024 Paris Olympics with husband John Legend and their two oldest children, Luna (eight) and Miles (six).

For the event, the TV personality wore an olive colored Chloé set, which included a knit cardigan and matching barely-there shorts.

On Sunday, July 28, Teigen, 38, shared an Instagram post that shows a series of images of her and husband, Luna and Miles, along with Snoop Dog, Captain Sandy from Below Deck, and Hoda Kotb, co-anchor of the Today Show.

She captions the post, “opening ceremonies! sure it was a little (a lot) rainy but wowowowowow absolutely epic experience (and got to see a few of my favorite people!)”

Some fans adored Teigen’s photos and praised her stunning and bold look.

“[Teigen is] recognized as the style influencer throughout the world. She looks fabulous,” writes one fan, while a second adds, “I would wear that every day when I had those legs.”

Responding to the negativity in Teigen’s comments section, a third offers, “she’s a model with 7ft legs, let her show off her assets it bought her a house, what have your legs done (sic).”

‘Grandma’s undies’

Though the actor killed the look, some people failed to appreciate her outfit.

“She wearing grandma’s undies!!! Love her, but not appropriate outfit for this. Should have [looked] in the mirror a little longer,” shares one. A second troll writes, “You’re at the Olympics. Not the Runway. Totally inappropriate outfit.”

“The airline lost your pants????? Seriously this is awful. If you were drunk I’d understand,” writes another.

Of all the negative comments, some even comparing her shorts to “diapers,” others saying the outfit is “tasteless and classless,” there was one standout remark that grabbed Teigen’s attention.

“The worst outfit for that kind of event,” writes one user who goes by the handle @monicadoncheva.

Though her response was subtle, the former Sports Illustrated model tagged the netizen and writes “thanks for sharing!”

Thrilled she acknowledged a comment, fans jumped in and defended her look.

“She’s a super model just super modeling. Paris and the Olympics will be just fine,” shares one, while a second writes, “Girl you looked fire and your outfit is the perfect outfit for any event. These haters could never!”

Another remarks, “The most fierce! It’s honestly [fire].”
