Arnold Schwarzenegger Doesn’t Feel Comfortable with Death, and he says will ‘miss everything’

Death is inevitable and yet it’s a common struggle for many. People have a hard time when they lose a loved one. Furthermore, it’s even more difficult trying to face their own mortality.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is no exception. The Hollywood star, who became governor of California, has spoken out about his feelings regarding the difficult topic, reflecting a sort of no-nonsense attitude.

Religion provides a variety of things in someone’s life. Arguably, it is essential to give people hope and faith that life continues after death.

For example, Christians believe in going to heaven after dying. Meanwhile, Hinduism and Buddhism teach about reincarnation after death, insinuating that our souls continue through several lifetimes. However, Arnold Schwarzenegger has a very different perspective.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Shares Thoughts
In a recent interview, the well-known celebrity sat down with, another beloved celebrity, Danny DeVito to talk about life and their feelings on death. When questioned by DeVito about his thoughts, the former California Governor said, “It reminds me of Howard Stern’s question to me. ‘Tell me, governor, what happens to us when we die?’ I said, ‘Nothing. You’re 6 feet under. Anyone that tells you something else is a f—ing liar.’”

Commenting on Death
“We don’t know what happens with the soul and all this spiritual stuff that I’m not an expert in, but I know that the body as we see each other now, we will never see each other again like that.” Divulging that, he feels as though Heaven is just a fantasy. “When people talk about, ‘I will see them again in heaven,’ it sounds so good, but the reality is that we won’t see each other again after we’re gone. That’s the sad part. I know people feel comfortable with death, but I don’t,’” he said.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has Overcome
The bodybuilder has overcome countless obstacles in his lifetime but has also had some incredible opportunities stemming from his success. Schwarzenegger has done things that most people only dream of. However, it seems that no matter how wealthy, healthy, successful, or intelligent someone may be, no one is immune to the harsh realities of facing death.

What Happens After Death
For many, death is unbearable because it leaves so many questions unanswered, and no one knows what will happen. Alternatively, there have been many people who’ve faced near-death experiences and offered some insight. Some claim that there are several planets and worlds that we on Earth know nothing about. Meanwhile, others have shared they even met God. Furthermore, it turns out that “following the light” isn’t just in movies as several reports have contained information about being in total darkness, before following a light.

Regardless of all these stories, some with notable similarities, Arnold Schwarzenegger stands by his belief that nothing happens after death. He explained, “To me, heaven is where I put a person who I love dearly, who is kind, who is generous, who made a difference in my life and other people’s lives,” he said. “I keep them in a spot in my head, like that front row that you have of all of your friends. And you always have a good feeling when you think of them.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Develops Work Ethics
Arnold Schwarzenegger has had an impressive career following less than glamorous childhood. During his interview with Danny DeVito, he disclosed that he began working at the age of 10, selling ice cream bars at a nearby lake in the summer. “I didn’t consider it working. It was a way to get the things that I wanted. If I wanted a training suit or training shoes, my parents wouldn’t buy them. They said, ‘We don’t have the money, so you only get the necessities.’ I decided to make my own money.” he shared.

Humble Beginnings
“I grew up in the middle of all these farms. There was a house that was 200-plus years old, and we lived on the top floor. In the summer it was beautiful and green, flowers everywhere, the cows were out and sheep were roaming and horses were running around. Just really, really beautiful. It’s kind of the ideal look. In the winter, it was extremely cold.” Arnold Schwarzenegger explained. “This was the life. We had no running water, electricity was outside the wall. That was the way we grew up.”

“We had outhouses. There was no running toilet, so across the hallway of our kitchen was the outhouse. It was what they call a plunge toilet.” He continued. Sharing that now, the house he grew up in has actually been preserved and is recognized as the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Becomes World Renowned
Joining the body building industry, he won more than ten competitions, including Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia but competed in many more. Eventually, moving on to acting, he pursued a successful career, appearing in around 40 films. His greatest professional achievement was still around the corner as he would eventually become the 38th governor of California.

So, what led someone who’d seemingly been blessed by God to be so anti-afterlife? Loss. Through his life he’s endured a number of difficult moments, often resulting in loss. He disclosed that he’s lost somewhere between 15-20 friends from the body building industry. Additionally, losing his parents and, eventually losing his wife in divorce.

Arnolds Latest Project
Unsurprisingly, much like everything else he’s bounced back from, Arnold Schwarzenegger hasn’t allowed his perspective of the afterlife to affect his quality of life. On the contrary, he’s gearing up for the release of a new project. A Netflix documentary, mini-series entitled Arnold. It’s been disclosed that he and those who’ve known him, have gotten candid about the ups and downs of his life.

The docuseries will include exclusive interviews with co-stars, friends, and enemies. Allowing for audiences to gain a full range of just who Arnold Schwarzenegger is.

Once a Hollywood heartthrob, state governor, and actor with an admirable body, there’s no question that Arnold Schwarzenegger has lived a full life of both pain and satisfaction.
