It’s heartwarming to witness famous couples who value their marriage and family.
The couple from “1883,” Time McGraw and Faith Hill, truly embody love and commitment, yet like any family, they have faced trials and hardships.
During 2022, they disclosed that their 25-year-old daughter, Gracie, had been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
At that time, they were met with a flood of love and encouragement, and recently, Gracie took to social media to provide updates on her condition.
“I just wanted to quickly share that I have received a diagnosis of PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). To meet the diagnosis, one must exhibit 2 of the 5 PCOS characteristics, and I displayed 3,” she expressed.
In her message, Gracie added, “During my consultation with my endocrinologist, it dawned on me that this might have been a contributing factor to my weight issues. Consequently, we opted to try a medication to normalize my body functions and equip me with the tools to maintain my health as I age.”
Gracie openly discussed her condition, stating, “I’m learning to manage the new challenges, but I wouldn’t have sought medical help if I hadn’t prioritized my mental well-being. Because as crucial as physical health is, mental health is equally vital.”
The young McGraw garnered praise from online fans for her candor regarding her health condition.
According to John Hopkins Medicine, PCOS is a prevalent hormonal disorder among women of reproductive age.
Women with this condition may experience irregular ovulation, elevated androgen levels, and sometimes develop ovarian cysts. PCOS can also lead to irregular menstruation, excessive hair growth, acne, infertility, and weight gain.
”Sending love to those grappling with similar struggles or any challenge at all. Mental health is a tough battle! It’s a lengthy journey, but we can overcome,” the star emphasized.
“I share my story in the hopes that it resonates with someone. P.S. The medication I’m on has given me a physique I haven’t seen in years (if ever). It’s a strange adjustment, but I’m finding ways to embrace it,” she added.
Fans swiftly applauded the young woman for her openness, expressing gratitude and praising her as “courageous” and “inspirational”.
Regrettably, Gracie has faced disparagement concerning her appearance. In 2021, she was ridiculed for her body shape, and she responded to a body-shamer by embracing herself and showcasing her dance moves!
“Today, as I gazed at my reflection, I felt content in my own skin. I went to a store and picked up a dress in the largest size available, which was a size 8 (by the way, I wear a size 10), and the store attendant actually took the dress away from me, saying ‘that won’t fit you’,” she detailed in the caption. “Well, obviously because, duh, it’s not my size?? Moreover, the fact that she snatched the dress and told me I was too large for it really hurt me,” she shared on Instagram before continuing:
“It wasn’t just hurtful that she essentially called me oversized, but what upset me more was that many stores have this mentality, where they only showcase smaller sizes. And when you try on their larger sizes, they barely reach your knees,” she elaborated. “For the past two or three years, I’ve maintained the same jeans size, yet each time I try a new brand or even the same one I previously owned, the size 30 somehow feels smaller, even though my body size remains constant. It’s not just about pants, it’s about EVERYTHING.”
Naturally, Gracie has the unwavering support of her entire family, including Tim McGraw. In 2020, Tim expressed his admiration for his daughter, affirming how exceedingly proud he is of her abilities:
“Gracie, our eldest daughter, is pursuing a career in acting in L.A., and she fills me with pride daily as she’s an incredibly resilient, outspoken young woman.”
It’s evident that Gracie hasn’t allowed her condition to diminish her authenticity. Feel free to share your thoughts on her courage and honesty in the comments!
