A toxic gas leak in SpaceX’s underground research tunnel has turned the space dream into hell.
Employees described the terrifying moment when thick white smoke poured out of the pipes, filling the entire hallway in seconds. Elon Musk was there to supervise the test. He suddenly collapsed, his body motionless.
A witness, a SpaceX engineer, trembled as he recounted: “We heard the alarm, then the whole room was filled with toxic fog. I saw Musk holding his chest, then he fell down. Many other colleagues also fainted, unable to breathe.” The alarm blared, and firefighters and emergency police rushed in.

Paramedics rushed into the tunnel in thick protective suits. Elon Musk was pulled out, his face pale, his heart had stopped. CPR was immediately performed on the white dust-covered cement floor. An oxygen mask was pressed tightly against his face, the sound of chest compressions was heard incessantly while the ambulance siren blared. “We did chest compressions for almost 15 minutes, but there was no response,” a doctor said.
At the San Francisco hospital, Musk was taken straight to the ICU. The heart monitor kept flashing red, the medical team shocked him multiple times. The ICU room was bright white, nurses were running around with oxygen tanks. The atmosphere was suffocating. Finally, the head doctor bowed his head and announced, “We can’t save him anymore. Elon Musk is dead.” The news immediately shocked the world.
Outside the hospital gate, fans and media crowded, camera flashes flashing continuously. Some people cried, others knelt down to light candles. “He was our dream,” one fan cried.
Social media exploded, the hashtags #GoodbyeMusk and #PrayForElon topped the global trending list within minutes. World leaders voiced condolences: The US president called Musk “the greatest innovation icon of our time,” while the British prime minister wrote: “History will remember him forever.” Colleagues in the tech industry sent messages of grief.
Amid tears and panic, a double incident occurred. As thousands of fans crowded into SpaceX headquarters to set up a candlelight vigil, a group was pushed over, causing the iron fence to collapse, injuring dozens. Ambulances rushed in, sirens blaring, creating a scene of continued mourning.
Tonight, San Francisco was filled with candlelight and prayers. SpaceX engineers vowed to erect a memorial in the research tunnel where Musk fell for humanity’s space dream.
And the chilling question that gripped the world was: Was this leak just a fateful accident – or a conspiracy behind Elon Musk’s death?
